Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Lorian ("the Service," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Lorian. The Service is currently intended for use within the United States.

Lorian is a home-search assistant that learns your taste and preferences and surfaces residential listings that may be of interest to you. Lorian aggregates listing information from third-party sources and our own data. Lorian is not a real estate broker, agent, or landlord, and does not participate in, guarantee, or facilitate any lease or purchase transaction. All listing information (availability, pricing, photos, and features) is provided for informational purposes only, may be inaccurate, outdated, or sourced from third parties we do not control, and is subject to change or removal without notice. Always verify listing details directly with the listing agent, broker, or landlord before making any decisions.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Any feedback, comments, ratings, or other content you submit ("User Content") may be used by us to improve the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display it in connection with operating and improving the Service. Do not submit User Content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, or that contains personal information about others without their consent.

If you opt in to receive SMS/text message alerts from Lorian, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from Lorian at the phone number you provide, for the specific purpose of receiving listing match alerts. Consent is not a condition of using the Service generally. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for assistance. This consent is specific to Lorian and is not shared with or extended to any third party.

Listing photos, descriptions, pricing, and agent/broker contact information displayed on Lorian may be sourced from publicly available third-party real estate platforms. Lorian does not independently verify the accuracy of this information and disclaims all responsibility for errors, omissions, or changes in third-party listing data. Any communication you initiate with a listing agent or broker through or as a result of using Lorian is between you and that third party; Lorian is not a party to that communication or any resulting transaction.

Lorian is committed to full compliance with the federal Fair Housing Act and all applicable state and local fair housing and civil rights laws. We do not discriminate, and do not knowingly display or promote listings that discriminate, on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic. All real estate referenced through Lorian is offered in accordance with the Equal Housing Opportunity principle.

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond normal use; impersonate any person or entity; interfere with the Service's operation or security; or submit false or misleading information, including false contact information for the purpose of applying to listings.

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and underlying technology (excluding third-party listing content and your User Content), is owned by Lorian and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that listing information is accurate, complete, or current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lorian and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service or any listing, agent, or third party you interact with through the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lorian from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice.
